Black Maternal Health Week – Dr. Khadeja Haye

Videos

This week, we recognize Black Maternal Health Week, a time to raise awareness around racial and gender gaps in healthcare, specifically for Black mothers. In the U.S., Black women are three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than White women, according to the CDC. Khadeja Haye, MD, MBA, FACOG, National Medical Director, Acute Hospitalist Medicine, OB/GYN Hospitalist, explains factors that contribute to the disproportionately high maternal mortality rates among Black women and discusses opportunities for healthcare providers to mitigate these disparities. #BMHW24
