TeamHealth's dental coverage is offered through Delta Dental of Tennessee. Employees may go to an in-network or out-of-network dentist anywhere in the country. If an employee goes to an out-of-network dentist, Delta Dental will pay the reasonable and customary fee for that area and the employee will be responsible for additional dentist charges. Elections by new flexible spending account participants made after the beginning of the plan year of October 1st, will have their elections pro-rated in order not to exceed the $2,550 healthcare and $5,000 dependent care annual cap.
TeamHealth offers medical insurance to employees. Choices include a Gold Plan (standard PPO), a Silver Plan (high deductible with Health Reimbursement Account), a Bronze Plan (high deductible plan with a Health Savings Account option) and in some areas an indemnity plan. The company and employees share the cost of the coverage. Although a few exceptions exist, most employees are covered under UnitedHealthcare, group number 702703.

This plan is a co-insurance plan administered through Caremark. When comparing to Medicare D, the coverage is considered "creditable" for all plans except the High Deductible Plan. In that case, the coverage is not creditable (see Medical home page for more information). In general, co-insurance is 35% of the cost of the drug at retail and 25% of the cost of the drug at mail, for a three month supply. Penalties apply when generics are not purchased when available, or when non-preferred brand drugs are purchased instead of preferred brand drugs.
Generic Maintenance Prescriptions: If you are on the UHC Gold or Silver Plans, you can receive a three month supply of Generic Maintenance Prescriptions with only a $10 co-pay. Review the list below to see which prescriptions are included.

TeamHealth makes world-wide travel assistance available to employees for medical purposes. This coverage will help in emergency medical or evacuation situations. Consultants can help find hospitals, transportation, lodging, and medical advice when employees are more than 100 miles from home.

Vision benefits can help pay for routine eye exams, glasses, or contact lenses. TeamHealth offers EyeMed Vision Care in two voluntary programs - the Preferred Plan and the Premier Plan. The plans both offer in-network and out-of-network benefits. The Premier Plan is better suited to members who wear contacts.
Effective October 1, 2011, both plans cover digital retinal imaging.
