TeamHealth Names Jennifer Morrison Chief Compliance Officer

Press Release

TeamHealth, a leading clinician services organization, announced the appointment of Jennifer Morrison as the organization’s chief compliance officer effective May 16, 2017.

“We are pleased to announce Jennifer Morrison as TeamHealth’s new chief compliance officer,” said Leif Murphy, president and CEO. “Jennifer has served as a valuable member of our leadership team for the past two years as the vice president of compliance. She has more than 15 years of experience and brings a vast knowledge of healthcare law and compliance expertise to TeamHealth. We look forward to her continued contributions to the company as she advances our culture of compliance.”

“I am honored to be named chief compliance officer,” said Morrison. “I look forward to the opportunity to advance TeamHealth’s purpose to provide quality patient care and appreciate the company’s deep commitment to compliance with the laws, rules and regulations that govern our business operations and practice.”

Since 2015, Morrison served as TeamHealth’s vice president of compliance. In this role, Morrison strategically expanded and strengthened the company compliance program by developing the annual risk assessment and compliance work plan and implementing new investigation and auditing processes.

Prior to joining TeamHealth, Morrison served as director of compliance and privacy at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where she established and managed the corporate compliance program at the 400-bed, level II trauma center and its affiliated business units. She also served as division compliance officer and assistant general counsel at Health Management Associates. Morrison received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and a law degree with a certificate of concentration in health law at Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida.
