TeamHealth has a full-time opportunity for a physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) to join our team in the observation unit of the emergency department (ED) at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, California. These observation units have 24 hours of advanced practice clinician (APC) coverage with 12-hour shifts. These observation units are fast-paced units that work in close collaboration with the emergency department, consultants, support staff of the unit, and administrative physicians.
Types of cases include, cardiac, neurological, surgical, medical, and include trauma, overdoses, and even some psychiatric disorders. There is 24/7 supervising physician oversight, and on-site emergency physician and hospitalist in-house coverage. Candidates must have two years of clinical experience in emergency medicine (EM), hospital medicine (HM), cardiology or critical care experience and ACLS certification. Not accepting new graduates at this time.
Competitive compensation with an estimated base salary range of $95 to $95 hourly with the opportunity to earn incentives.
