Lives are saved every day, and often times, in simple conversation.

By Dr. Hamad Husainy, DO

I chose this profession and specialty because life is dynamic. Many of our patients wake up not realizing something adverse will happen to them that day. I have been granted the privilege of being there to combat the medical and social issues the community encounters.

I find that as a maturing physician, I get more out of my helping patients, than they get out of me. Recently, I had the pleasure of caring for a 14-year-old female with many life experiences no one should have to endure. She was the victim of drugs and violence. After sitting down and talking with her for 30 minutes, I am forever reminded that lives are saved every day, and often times, in simple conversation. This patient has been in and out of facilities for the past four years, and I was able to get through to her in a way that was life changing.

I love my job and feel blessed to have the opportunity to be a positive charge in our often negative world.”

My future plans intend to change lives daily through the interactions of being a physician and leader in our community. I love my job and feel blessed to have the opportunity to be a positive charge in our often negative world.
