TeamHealth Launches New TeamHealth Cares Website

As 2018 begins, we’re excited to share more of our giving experiences through our new TeamHealth Cares website and on social media! Our passion for helping others isn’t just our culture – it’s everything we do. To us, giving back isn’t just about providing our patients with quality care. It’s about making a building team unity and creating a positive impact in every community we serve. From fundraising events and financial assistance to empowering our clinicians and non-clinical teams with the resources they need to make a difference.

Examples of TeamHealth Cares can be seen all across the organization. Last year, The TeamHealth Cares committee visited the Knoxville Ronald McDonald House to deliver the corporate employee donations. A tour of the building and facilities shined a light on this amazing organization that helps families get through difficult times in their life. The Ronald McDonald House of Knoxville provides a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals, and TeamHealth’s donation will help 500 families stay one night at the house for free.

TeamHealth donated a total of $2,458.04 to the local Ronald McDonald house from fundraising at the following events: Trash to Treasure Sale, Department Change Wars and Minute to Win It Games Competition. These games were a fun way for associates to get involved and give back to the community.

During this year’s ACEP Scientific Assembly TeamHealth focused on giving back to the community – all in support of our company purpose and our TeamHealth Cares initiatives. Attendees of #ACEP17 helped choose where the dollars went by scanning their attendee badge to earn points for their charity of choice. Attendees were also given the opportunity to earn extra points for their chosen charity by participating in putt putt at our exhibit space where they could earn an extra 25, 50, or 100 points for their charity. Points were later converted to dollars to support this year’s chosen charities

Charities included the Emergency Medicine Foundation, Fisher House Foundation and the National Alliance on Mental Illness. After #ACEP17 concluded, the votes we tallied, each charity was gifted amounts based on the number of points they received from our booth activity and attendees. In the end TeamHealth was excited to present the charities with a split donation of $25,000 that you can see below.

During this year’s ANESTHESIOLOGY® 2017 TeamHealth focused on giving back to the community – all in support of our company purpose and our TeamHealth Cares initiatives. Attendees of #ASA17 helped by scanning their attendee badge that were later converted to dollars in the amount of $1,500 to support this year’s chosen charity, the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation.

Earlier this year, TeamHealth Cares made a donation to Interfaith Health Clinic totaling $1,292. The InterFaith Health Clinic is a non-profit health care ministry in Knoxville, Tennessee providing affordable medical care, dental care, mental health counseling and prescription medications for the working uninsured. Associates participated in a “Pie in the Face” contest, TeamHealth Olympics Team Competition and Silent Auction for fundraising dollars. These games were a fun way for associates to get involved and give back to the community.

“Sponsoring fundraising events and volunteer opportunities that help create a giving culture within our organization as well as build team unity with the common goal of helping support great causes in our community,” said Allison Hinds, Senior Human Resources Generalist, TeamHeath. “We look forward to continuing to serve in the new year.”
