Hospital Medicine

Leadership opportunity for a Medical Director to lead our Hospital Medicine team full-time at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. This position includes clinical and administrative hours and will involve working closely with our division leadership, vice president of operations, and regional medical director. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with recruitment and interviewing of all program staff, developing and maintaining positive rapport with hospital administration and board members, participation in the hospital's performance improvement activities, and regular meetings with nursing, hospital administration and directors of ancillary departments that support the work of the Hospital Medicine program. Qualifications include Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Family Medicine with Hospitalist experience, excellent communication skills, hospital medicine leadership experience, and ability to spend sufficient time at the hospital outside of clinical hours to fulfill administrative duties.

As part of St. Francis' efforts to offer unsurpassed care, the organization broke ground in 2011 on two new towers. In 2013, the St. Francis Heart Hospital opened, consolidating cardiac services and moving all cardiology practices onto St. Francis' campus. That same year, The St. Francis Sue Marie Turner Women's Hospital opened. The hospital has earned several national accreditations and certifications because of their high quality healthcare.
