Hospitalist Nocturnist In Pensacola, FL

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PRN nocturnist hospital medicine physician to join our HM team at HCA West Florida in Pensacola. This position provides overnight inpatient care coverage on an as-needed basis, supporting admissions, cross-coverage, and acute clinical management to ensure high-quality care for hospitalized patients. We ask that you have one year of experience to apply.   

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overnight inpatient care, including admissions, evaluations, and ongoing management
• Respond to acute changes in patient condition and coordinate necessary interventions
• Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary teams to ensure safe and effective care
• Document clinical encounters thoroughly and in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participate in handoff communication to daytime providers to support continuity of care
• Adhere to evidence-based hospital medicine practices and patient safety protocols

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine or family medicine (with inpatient experience)
• Active and unrestricted state medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Current ACLS/BLS certification
• Prior hospitalist or inpatient medicine experience preferred

Facility

HCA Florida West Hospital is the first hospital in the area to offer all private rooms. This 306-bed facility also has a separate pediatric emergency department that is solely dedicated to treating the emergency healthcare of infants, children and adolescents.
