Our ED underwent significant renovations in late 2018, doubling in size to enhance patient privacy, reduce wait times, and provide improved room accommodations. Key Details

• Facility: 16-bed emergency department
• Volume: approximately 18,000 visits annually

Staffing

• Full physician coverage
• 12 hours of physician assistant coverage daily
• Admission rate: 8-10%
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
• Shift length: 12-hour shifts

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine or board certified or board eligible in family medicine (FM) or internal medicine (IM) with a minimum of 2 years of EM experience

About the City

Located in the Lahontan Valley, Fallon is the county seat of Churchill County, Nevada, in the western part of the state. Fallon and Churchill County are mostly agricultural areas. Although the area is arid, approximately 50,000 acres of its pastureland are irrigated with water from the Truckee-Carson Irrigation District. The principal crop grown is alfalfa for livestock feed. The largest single employer in Fallon and Churchill County is the important Naval Air Station Fallon, a training airfield that has been the home of the U.S. Navy's Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center including the TopGun training program since 1996, when it was moved to Fallon from Naval Air Station Miramar.
