At TeamHealth, our commitment to exceptional care extends beyond the walls of the emergency department. To close out EMS Week 2026, we are building on that momentum by introducing a new way to recognize the dedication, resilience, and partnership of EMS professionals across the communities we serve.
Introducing the TeamHealth EMS Community Recognition Pin Program
Working alongside professionals who serve in an exceptionally challenging field—often in limited environments and under tremendous pressure—does not go unnoticed. To formally recognize this dedication, TeamHealth is proud to introduce a recognition pin program for our EMS leaders and their community partners.
This program reflects a national best practice and offers a meaningful way to express our appreciation for the critical work being done every day. By pairing a tangible symbol of recognition with a written expression of gratitude, we can celebrate our EMS colleagues, highlight the impact of their work, and share positive feedback across our teams.
For everyone involved, it’s an opportunity to acknowledge excellence, say thank you, and honor the commitment our EMS partners bring to patient care.
A Message of Gratitude from Dr. Darnobid
Dr. Adam Darnobid, Chief of Emergency Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital, TeamHealth Facility Medical Director, and Chair of the EMS Leaders Committee, shares:
Every year, people across our communities experience unexpected medical needs—ranging from running out of medication to life threatening emergencies like cardiac arrest. These moments don’t follow a schedule; they happen in the middle of the night, during major life events, and on everyday occasions. EMS professionals, from dispatchers to department chiefs, work tirelessly, 24/7, to answer these calls, often overcoming significant challenges to deliver care where and when it’s needed most. On behalf of the entire TeamHealth community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our EMS partners for their unwavering dedication and for caring for our communities every day.
Strengthening Partnerships Through Recognition
Recognition is more than a gesture, it’s a way to reinforce the collaboration that drives better patient outcomes. By celebrating the contributions of EMS professionals, we strengthen the relationships that are essential to delivering timely and coordinated care.
At TeamHealth, we remain committed to supporting our clinicians, elevating our partnerships with EMS, and finding meaningful ways to recognize those who make a difference every day.
