Job Description

TeamHealth is seeking an experienced and collaborative Anesthesia Medical Director to lead our anesthesiology team at UMass Memorial Health Care – Clinton Hospital in Leominster, Massachusetts.

This is an exciting opportunity for a physician leader who wants to remain clinically engaged while helping shape the future of a well-established anesthesia practice. As Medical Director, you will work alongside a talented team of anesthesiologists and CRNAs, fostering a positive clinical culture, strengthening relationships across the hospital, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care.

Lead, Collaborate, and Make a Difference
In this onsite leadership role, you will combine clinical practice with administrative leadership, partnering closely with clinicians, surgeons, hospital leadership, and TeamHealth to promote clinical excellence and a highly supportive work environment.

The ideal candidate is a board-certified anesthesiologist with strong communication and leadership skills, a collaborative approach, and a genuine commitment to supporting clinician development and creating a workplace where providers can thrive.

As Medical Director, you will have the opportunity to:

A Diverse and Rewarding Clinical Practice
The facility features six operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, and one procedure room, with approximately 5,000 cases annually. The practice offers a broad range of cases utilizing general, regional, and neuraxial anesthesia techniques, as well as acute pain management. The primary case mix includes – orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, interventional radiology, vascular, thoracic, and more. The practice does not include OB, trauma, cardiac, or head cases, with only a small volume of pediatric cases.

Beeper call is taken from home and shared equally among the team. You’ll also enjoy strong, collaborative working relationships with surgeons and hospital staff, contributing to a collegial and supportive practice environment.

Competitive Compensation, with an estimated base salary range of $625,000 to 625,000 annually with the opportunity to earn incentives.

About the City

Leominster has a long cultural history including various theatres, performance groups, exhibits and entertainment events. Leominster is located north of Worcester and northwest of Boston. The city is bounded by Fitchburg and Lunenburg to the north, Lancaster to the east, Sterling and Princeton to the south, and Westminster to the west.
