Job Description

TeamHealth is seeking a dynamic anesthesiologist to serve as medical director of our elite anesthesiology practice at Grand Strand Medical Center in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Practice Highlights

• Collaborative team of 40+ highly skilled anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and CAAs
• Up to 21 anesthetizing locations, including: 10 operating rooms, including two open-heart surgical suites; endoscopy suite, EP lab, interventional radiology suite, OB operating room and labor & delivery coverage
• Strategic OR expansion planned for late 2026
• Broad and diverse case mix including: general, level I trauma, level II pediatric trauma, bariatric, neuro, urology, endoscopy, ENT/head & neck, orthopedics, vascular, OB/GYN, interventional radiology, plastics, podiatry, robotics, electrophysiology, thoracic, and cardiac (covered by a dedicated cardiac team)
• ACGME accredited anesthesiology residency program based at Grand Strand Medical Center

Facility

Grand Strand Medical Center is a 403-bed acute care hospital committed to quality patient care. It is a designated Level I adult trauma center and Level II pediatric trauma center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility specializes in emergency medicine, cardiology and women's health.
