HCA Florida West Hospital is the first hospital in the area to offer all private rooms. This 306-bed facility also has a separate pediatric emergency department that is solely dedicated to treating the emergency healthcare of infants, children and adolescents. The adult ED has specially trained staff includes specialty trained emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, technicians and health unit coordinators. In addition, HCA Florida West Hospital also offers senior emergency services for geriatric patients and their families.
