We’re seeking outstanding general surgeons to join our trauma and acute care surgery team at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. This Level III trauma center features state-of-the-art facilities, 14 modern operating rooms, and a dedicated staff that fosters a collaborative and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in surgical critical care or trauma; accepting new grads
• MD or DO: board certified
• Active or in-process Texas medical license
• Willing to relocate to the Abilene area

What you can expect

• Newly enhanced compensation package
• Work 7 days on/7 days off; 24-hour shift
• 12 hours of primary call then 12 hours of back-up call coverage
• Do not need to remain in-house during their 12-hour back-up call coverage
• 2 surgeon model with APC support
• Moderate trauma with a variety of cases: 80% general surgery, 20% trauma
• Dedicated OR time
• Support from anesthesia, IV radiology
• Evaluation of all trauma and emergency general surgery consults
• Outpatient follow-up in clinic
