TeamHealth Holdings Inc. announced the acquisition of the operations of Professional Anesthesia Service, Inc. Based in Akron, Ohio, Professional Anesthesia Service currently provides anesthesia services for Summa Akron City Hospital, Summa St. Thomas Hospital and one ambulatory surgery center (ASC). In conjunction with this transaction, TeamHealth will also begin providing anesthesia services for Summa Barberton Hospital. These new relationships will add more than 50,000 annual anesthesia cases to TeamHealth’s existing anesthesia operations.
