Jay Mesrobian, MD, TeamHealth Chief Clinical Officer, Anesthesiology, has been elected by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) House of Delegates to serve as Assistant Treasurer on the 2020-2021 ASA Administrative Council, the official planning body of ASA.
ASA is an educational, research and scientific society with more than 54,000 members. As one of 12 officers on the council, Dr. Mesrobian will continue to advance the medical practice of anesthesiology. He will support initiatives that focus on education, advocacy, quality and practice development and scientific discovery.
Dr. Mesrobian is also elected to the Anesthesia Quality Institute (AQI) Board of Directors. AQI was established by ASA in 2008 to facilitate practice-based quality management through education and quality data feedback. AQI’s National Anesthesia Clinical Outcomes Registry (NACOR) is the largest anesthesia registry in the United States. AQI helps improve the quality of patient care, lower anesthesia mortality and lower anesthesia incidents.
