El Paso Children’s Hospital is the region’s only dedicated children’s hospital and referral center, serving families throughout West Texas and southern New Mexico. Affiliated with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, this 122-bed teaching hospital offers access to more than 30 pediatric specialties, including pediatric surgery, pediatric imaging, PICU, NICU, pediatric critical care transport, infusion services, and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric care. The hospital continues to invest in its future through recent expansion projects, including additional inpatient capacity and a new pediatric multispecialty center that brings even more specialty care closer to the families who need it most.
As Medical Director, you’ll collaborate closely with hospital leadership, support and mentor physicians, champion clinical excellence, and help shape the continued growth of pediatric emergency medicine across the region.

El Paso Children's Hospital is a 122-bed teaching hospital associated with Texas Tech University. El Paso Children's Hospital has the full spectrum of pediatric specialties including pediatric imaging, pediatric inpatient and outpatient infusion, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric operating rooms, pediatric critical care transport team, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. El Paso Children's Hospital has over 30 specialties and is always growing.
El Paso lies in far west Texas and is the 19th most populous city in the U.S. with a population of almost 650,000. Standing on the Rio Grande, El Paso is across the U.S./Mexico border from Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, so the city is loaded with history and historic places. The Franklin Mountains extend into El Paso from the north and nearly divide the city into two sections: the west side forming the beginnings of the Mesilla Valley and the east side expanding into the desert and lower valley. At an elevation of 3,800 feet above sea level, with the highest peak in the city being North Franklin Mountain at 7,192 feet above sea level. El Paso is also home to the 24,000-acre Franklin Mountains State Park, the largest urban park in the United States.
