Beautiful Natural Bridge historic site may be the only double span natural bridge formation in the world. It is a purely natural formation that was formed over millions of years by nature. Tribes including the Yucchi Indians from Mexico, the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Muskogean, Creeks, and Cherokees walked the trails around Natural Bridge long before the white man came to this country. The site is bordered by Forty-Eight Creek, which is crystal clear cool water. Many species of fish can be seen from the banks. Another popular natural creation on the grounds is the Ice cave. The temperature in the cave is a cool 58 degrees year round, and the stream coming out of the cave is stocked with rainbow trout.
