TeamHealth has a rare opening for an anesthesiologist to join the team at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, Virginia. The anesthesia team has a local family-like feel to it consisting of 5 anesthesiologists and 15 CRNAs.
The practice utilizes the care team model with anesthesiologists supervising CRNAs. A CRNA is in-house 24/7, anesthesiologist take night and weekend call from home via beeper with post call day off. The team coverages around 9,220 cases annually including approximately 1,500 deliveries. There are 8 anesthesia locations that run Monday through Friday including 5 rooms in the main OR, endo suite, EP lab/CVIR and L&D.
Cases include general surgery, bariatrics, plastics, urology, vascular, neuro, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, OB/GYN, bread & butter peds, CVIR, EP lab, endo and GI. The hospital is a Level III Trauma Center.
