Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in Mesa, Arizona

TeamHealth has an opportunity for a physician assistant to join our team in the observation unit of the emergency department (ED) team full-time at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. This 45-bed ED sees an annual patient volume of 55,000 and has an admission rate of 30%. The 26-bed observation unit has 24 hours of advanced practice clinician (APC) coverage working 10-hour shifts. This observation unit is a fast-paced unit that works in close collaboration with the emergency department, consultants, support staff of the unit, and Banner administrative physicians. Types of cases include, cardiac, neurological, surgical, medical, and include trauma, overdoses, and even some psychiatric disorders. There is 24/7 supervising physician oversight, and on-site emergency physician and hospitalist in-house coverage. Significant clinical experience in emergency medicine, hospital medicine, cardiology or critical care experience and ACLS certification.
