TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity to join our team as an emergency medicine physician at UF Health The Villages Hospital Freestanding Emergency Department in The Villages, Florida. This facility is a free standing emergency department with full nurse staffing, patient care techs, respiratory therapy, paramedics and volunteers. Clinicians work 12-hour shifts. The emergency department offers 24/7 emergency care and features 16 beds including 2 trauma bays. There is an annual volume of 12,000.
We ask that candidates be board certified in emergency medicine-ABEM or AOBEM with emergency department experience, or board certified in family practice or internal medicine with over 3k hours of emergency department experience. You must become certified within a period of 5 years following the date of new applicant’s initial appointment to the medical staff. Additionally, ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications are required.
