Investments in technology and top-notch doctors have enabled WMC to offer new specialties and procedures. Not all work and no play!

Weirton is in West Virginia's Northern Panhandle, nestled among the hills of the Ohio River Valley. There are many recreational activities for the whole family to participate in. The City of Weirton Board of Park & Recreation Commissioners maintain an outstanding number of facilities and services for citizens to enjoy. The Millsop Community Center offers a variety of programs and sports leagues for area youth. Weirton is comprised of top-rated schools that are in both Hancock and Brooke County School Districts. West Virginia Northern Community College has a campus on Weirton Heights, and Eastern Gateway Community College is just a 15-minute drive away in neighboring Steubenville, Ohio. The renowned Franciscan University is also in Steubenville. Seeking a history lesson on the community? The Weirton Area Museum & Cultural Center exhibits Weirton's history ranging from the revolutionary days when the valley was known as Holliday's Cove and continuing with the history of Weirton Steel Company and the city of Weirton. Combine the warmth, security and camaraderie inherent in small towns with the cultural, educational and economic benefits of a metropolitan area, and you have perfectly described Weirton.
