TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a part-time physician to join our emergency department team at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. This facility is a 36,000 volume, 30-bed ED equipped with slit lamp, sonogram, ultrasound, glideoscope and bronchoscope. A separate Pediatrics emergency department is in place. The ED features a 9-bed fast track and is a designated Primary Stroke Center and catheterization lab. Enjoy the support of excellent nursing staff, obstetrics back up in-house and anesthesiology in house and available overnight. Other perks include scribes on duty from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm, working one-on-one with physicians and an on-site Hospitalist team that takes 70% of the ED admissions. Pompton Plains is in Morris County, in the New York metro area. The township is primarily a residential area that encompasses two communities, Pequannock and Pompton Plains. Recorded history of the township dates to 1695 when the area was originally settled. Pequannock was incorporated in 1740, making it older than our nation itself. Community growth was greatest in the 1950s during which time the population more than doubled. During the early 1990s, a planned residential development known as The Glens was constructed, adding 583 homes.
