TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Medical Director to join our Palliative Care team at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. We ask that you preferably be board certified in Palliative Care. The Medical Director's primary duty is to oversee the medical component of the Palliative Care plan for each patient. The Medical Director is responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to the Palliative Care team in order to provide the highest level of quality patient medical care and palliation. The Medical Director will liaison with the local medical community, use resources effectively, and identify opportunities to improve care delivery. It is imperative that the candidate who accepts this position works to facilitate a culture of collaboration internally among all medical and nursing staff involved with patient care, as well as works to build and strengthen relationships externally with referring physicians and community specialists to ensure integration of primary and palliative medicine.
