TeamHealth’s Veterans Resource Group

By Eric Norman, TeamHealth Chief Human Resources Officer

Throughout our country’s history, military service members protected the values and liberties that this nation was built on. TeamHealth would like to thank all who have served and those who continue to serve. We appreciate your sacrifice, bravery and the example you set for us all. TeamHealth values veterans for their leadership, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

TeamHealth would like to invite all TeamHealth associates (employees and independent contractors) who are veterans, spouses of veterans, caregivers of veterans, active military, reserve and guard as well as military spouses to join TeamHealth’s Veterans Resource Group. We established the Veterans Resource Group, a focused program to retain and honor our veteran associates and their families. One of our key initiatives is a mentoring program for veterans transitioning into a career with TeamHealth. We partner current veteran associates with newly onboarded vets to help ease the transition from military service to civilian employment. Another focus area for this new program is training hiring managers on the benefits of hiring veterans, how to read a military resume and how to conduct interviews with potential candidates with military service in their background. It is important for hiring managers to understand how military experience translates into civilian roles.

Veterans and their loved ones are a great fit at TeamHealth because of our shared values: leadership, integrity and teamwork. We are excited to support efforts to recruit and retain the great men and women who have served our country.

If you are a veteran or spouse of a veteran currently employed at TeamHealth and you would like to be part of this movement, we want to hear from you. There is much to be done, and we’d love to have your help.
