The 2019 TeamHealth Share Happiness Winners Are…

TeamHealth just wrapped up our Share Happiness contest and we want to thank all the physicians and advanced practice clinicians who shared their stories of what brings them joy! From hiking and cooking to spending quality time with loved ones – we received a record number of entries for this year’s #THShareHappiness contest!

The Share Happiness contest ran October 1 through October 31, 2019, and by sharing their photos and stories, clinicians were entered to win big prizes from Apple, REI, Target and Amazon.  At TeamHealth, we celebrate all clinicians, and the Share Happiness contest is one of the ways we can show him or her support both personally and professionally.

We’re pleased to announce the grand prize winner of the 2019 Share Happiness contest is Celeste Beatty, an APC at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia. Congratulations, Celeste! We shared all of the entries throughout the month of October on social media using the hashtag #THShareHappiness and you can check out all photos from entries here!

Grand Prize (Amazon $500 gift card)

Celeste Beatty, APC at Sovah Health in Danville, Virginia

“My happiness is every moment I get to spend with my family making memories. Though my family has always brought me happiness, I know and feel this on a much deeper level than I did just a few months ago. On July 25, I was outside with my 4-year-old daughter when I had a seizure. Thankfully, my father in law was with me and called 911. I was transported to the ED where I work full time. It was my friend and lead APC who took care of me and had to break the news that I had a brain mass located in the right frontal lobe. I was ultimately transferred to Duke University and underwent a craniotomy. The surgeon resected 85 percent of the mass. I was found to have a grade 2 oligodendroglia and am currently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy. I have just recently been able to start back to work part-time. I am incredibly thankful that although I do have brain cancer, it is treatable, and I am going to be able to watch my children grow up. As I look at the picture from our family vacation just a few months before all of this happened, I am happy for every memory we have made and will be able to make in the future. The importance of just enjoying little moments has become so apparent to me now. I also have to say that I could not have made it this far through this ordeal without not only my family but my amazing friends and co-workers who have given an immense amount of love and support.”

2nd Place Prize (Apple $300 gift card)

Matthew Roesner, APC at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska

“My 3rd daughter was born yesterday and has brought this now dad of three girls all the joy one can have. She has been amazing over the last 24 hours. I am still in the hospital posting this. Just overjoyed.”

3rd Place Prize (REI $150 gift card)

Drew Bordner, APC at Marion General Hospital in Kenton, Ohio

“Happiness for me is coming home to these smiling faces after a day in the ER. No matter how busy life gets, taking time to slow down and cherish the beauty around us can make the stresses of life vanish. Pictured are my children Jayce (8), Brielle (5) and Gatlin (21 months.) ”

4th Place Prize (Target $50 gift card)

Emily Eaglstein, MD at University of Miami Medical Center in Miami, Florida
