This position is focused exclusively on primary care. Behavioral health counseling, psychiatric medication management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) services are provided by dedicated behavioral health specialists. The FNP or PA is not responsible for providing or overseeing behavioral health or MAT services.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care for patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
  • Manage chronic medical conditions using evidence-based practices
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams
  • Deliver preventive care, wellness visits, immunizations, and routine health maintenance
  • Perform Medicare annual wellness visits and age-appropriate screenings
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with specialists and community resources
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and chronic disease management
  • Collaborate with the medical director and interdisciplinary care team to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within EHR

Qualifications
Required

  • Board-certified family nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Active North Carolina license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to provide comprehensive primary care across the lifespan

Preferred

  • Two or more years of outpatient primary care experience
  • Experience practicing independently in a primary care se
