| Description |
Join our hospital medicine team at JFK Medical Center in Atlantis, Florida. We offer an excellent base salary plus production bonus, full benefits, 401k, and paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage. The schedule is seven on and seven off with varied shift times available. Our patient census is 20 to 25. Requirements include an active Florida medical license, ABIM eligibility or certification, and inpatient or hospitalist experience. The selected candidate will manage patient care from admission through discharge, including making admission decisions and impacting the admissions process, conducting daily hospital rounds, ordering consults, selecting specialists, coordinating and expediting diagnostic tests and procedures, and overseeing discharge planning with health plan case managers and discharge planners. In addition, this hospitalist will be an excellent communicator who can create positive relationships with patients and their families, bring consensus to a group of disparate caregivers with differing points of view, and communicate regularly and extensively with primary care physicians.
