TeamHealth is looking for an experienced medical director to oversee clinical and administrative functions in the emergency department (ED) at Walton Regional Medical Center in Monroe, Georgia. The 13-bed, 22,000-volume ED is located approximately 45 miles east of Atlanta and 20 miles west of Athens. The department enjoys the support of a strong nursing staff and executive administration and daily mid-level coverage. The admissions rate is approximately 30 percent. Physicians must be board certified in emergency medicine with prior administrative experience. As medical director, you will be provided with a handsome compensation package that will include a well-structured directorship stipend and paid professional liability insurance.
