The 50,000-volume ED at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington, has one of the most advanced emergency and trauma centers in the region. The expanded ED is in a new wing of the medical center and is equipped with digital diagnostic imaging and designed with the latest technology. The ED is part of a hospital with a regional reputation for excellence. With 40 percent of hospital admissions in the tri-cities area, Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, Washington, is the fastest growing hospital in the state, with the largest percentage of growth in the last year. Kadlec was the first hospital in the state designated as a chest pain center with PCI capability and is home to the only neonatal intensive care unit in the region. New features of the hospital include a new, technologically advanced, 20-bed CCU; a 19-bed intermediate care unit; a 12-bed short stay unit; a new open-heart surgery suite; an additional cardiac catheterization lab; and a new outpatient imaging center.
