Specialty Emergency Medicine
Job Type Staff Physician
Job Status Full-time
City, State Amherst, OH
Facility Amherst Hospital
Description Emergency Medicine Consultants offers the rare opportunity to practice as a physician with a stable, customer-oriented group. As one of the few remaining independent and local groups in Ohio, EMC is owned and managed by physicians. The 9-bed, 15,000-volume ED provides single-physician coverage, and patient transport is accessed through both Life Flight and University Air Care Services. PA coverage is offered for 8 to 10 hours on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. There is an opportunity to rotate through two additional facilities: the 50,000-volume ED of EMH Regional Medical Center and the 21,000-volume ED of Avon Emergency Care Center. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in a primary care specialty with EM experience. An excellent compensation package, paid PLI with tail coverage, resources, and strong administrative support all add up to a great opportunity for the physician selected to fill this position. Located just 30 minutes from Cleveland, Amherst Hospital is affiliated with EMH Regional Medical Center. The 71-bed community hospital is equipped to provide a variety of specialties, including orthopedic and joint treatment, and also features a regional diabetes management center.
