Description A full-time physician assistant position is available in the ED at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. This 18,000-volume ED has 24-hour physician coverage and 12 hours of mid-level provider coverage. Prior ED experience is preferred. Providers should have ACLS and PALS certifications.

The Community
Ogdensburg is located in the 1,000 Islands region of upstate New York. Syracuse is approximately 2 hours north, and Montreal is about an hour and a half away. It is known as a great family vacation spot where you can visit the Frederic Remington Art Museum, picnic in the Greenbelt, or listen to concerts in the Gazebo. You can also go fishing, waterskiing, swimming, or scuba diving, or you can just watch the ships of many nations pass by. Ogdensburg is the only city in St. Lawrence County, the second largest county east of the Mississippi River, where you can still see historic buildings such as the Robert C. McEwen Customs House, the oldest federal building in the U.S.
