Save Our Safety Net Act of 2006
As the number of emergency departments (EDs) has fallen, the demand for emergency services has risen. With the growth of the number of elderly patients and the growth of uninsured patients seeking care in the ED, the safety net is strained beyond capacity.
Congress must act now to make sure that high quality, urgently needed health care services are available to all Americans at all times. We need your help in strengthening America's safety net!
