Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. Visits TeamHealth
On July 7, Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. (D) (shown fifth from the left above) visited TeamHealth's Billing Center in Alcoa, Tennessee. During his visit, Congressman Ford took a tour of the Billing Center and met with physicians, employees, and members of TeamHealth's management team to discuss a number of healthcare related issues, including the state of Emergency Medicine, Medicare payments, TennCare reductions, and the Save Our Safety Net Bill.
Congressman Ford is planning a subsequent visit to a TeamHealth client Emergency Department in Tennessee. Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition and an increasingly visible political figure in the United States today. He is currently running for the United States Senate.
