TeamHealth West provides administrative and staffing services to multiple hospitals and health systems in the western United States.
Corporate Profile
Client hospitals range in size from high-volume teaching facilities and trauma centers to smaller community hospitals. Services include emergency medicine, radiology, pediatrics, occupational medicine, fast track and urgent care. TeamHealth West is dedicated to providing quality management and staffing services while delivering cost-effective healthcare to patients.
The TeamHealth West management team is led by Richard Carvolth, MD, MMM, FACEP. A practicing emergency physician, Dr. Carvolth is medical director of the emergency department and chief of staff-elect at Sutter Solano Medical Center in Vallejo, California. Dr. Carvolth also serves as medical director for two hospital medicine programs and manager of one radiology practice. He chairs the Best Practices subcommittee of the TeamHealth Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Carvolth received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and completed his residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. He received his master's degree in medical management (MMM) from Carnegie Mellon University. He is former assistant professor of medicine at the University of California at San Francisco and is active in numerous professional associations.
