Overview

Formerly Emergency Coverage Corporation, Emergency Coverage Corporation of TeamHealth provides administrative and staffing services to hospital emergency departments in Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia.

ECC of TeamHealth forges partnerships with providers, payors, hospitals and healthcare organizations to harness, enhance and share the knowledge, experience and commitment of all, with the goal of improving the effectiveness of hospital-based healthcare resources in the communities we serve.

Corporate Profile

ECC of TeamHealth was founded in 1981 by John R. Staley, Jr., MD, who serves as president of the organization. Dr. Staley is a resident of Knoxville, Tennessee, where ECC of TeamHealth is headquartered. He is a 1980 graduate of The University of Tennessee Medical School where he received the Verstandig Award from his fellow medical students. He completed his internship at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Dr. Staley has served as chief of staff at Roane Medical Center and on the Executive Committees of Roane Medical Center, Unicoi County Memorial Hospital and Cumberland Medical Center.

ECC of TeamHealth understands the complex interactions that occur among emergency department personnel, physicians and administration. We work to strengthen these relationships, thereby improving the overall effectiveness of the emergency department while enhancing the hospital's role in the community.

ECC of TeamHealth's goal is to increase the effectiveness of hospital-based healthcare resources in the communities we serve.
