Dale Askins, DO
President, Mid-America Division
As president of emergency services for the TeamHealth Mid-America Division, Dr. Askins works closely with our clients to ensure healthy business relationships. He is responsible for all aspects of the division’s business, including financial solvency, physician relations, revenue generation, marketing, corporate development, and shareholder and client relations.
With more than 30 years of emergency medicine experience, Dr. Askins has held numerous hospital and physician group leadership roles, including president of the emergency physician group, chief of staff, assistant clinical professor of emergency medicine, and ED residency trainer.
Dr. Askins received his medical degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Missouri. He completed an internship at Phoenix General Hospital, Arizona, and an emergency medicine residency at Metropolitan Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Askins is also ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certified and certified as an ACLS and ATLS instructor. He is a Fellow of both ACEP and ACOEP.
